Garmisch-Classic in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Zugspitzland, Bavaria) is Germany's most famous winter sports resort and has hosted countless World Cup races. It joins three ski mountains – Hausberg, Kreuzeck and Alpspitze – so by German standards it is large (40 km of slopes), ranging from the Kinderland to the legendary black Kandahar run with its 92% gradient at the Freier Fall. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 12 December 2026 to 29 March 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €69 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
