Fichtelberg lies right on the German–Czech border above the spa town of Oberwiesenthal, the highest town in Germany. Germany's oldest cable car or a chairlift takes you up the mountain, and the area has 15.5 km of slopes; the youngest get Fichtelchens Winterland and freestylers the Fun Park. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 26 December 2026 to 21 March 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €41 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
