Holzhau

Holzhau in the Ore Mountains (Saxony) is a well-known holiday village that skiers discovered back in the 1930s. It is a small area (2.8 km of slopes, 3 lifts) with runs of varying difficulty and a fun park for snowboarders and freestylers, plus a toboggan lift and many kilometres of cross-country trails; ski rental and ski school are right at the slope, and night skiing is offered. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 28 November 2026 to 7 March 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €40 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
