Wendelstein near Brannenburg (Upper Bavaria) is a ski area for natural-snow fans and sporty skiing in a high-alpine setting – there are no easy slopes, so it is not recommended for beginners. The longest run is the 5 km red West descent to Osterhofen, while the 3.8 km black East descent to the Mitteralm is the most challenging and the most popular with locals. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 26 December 2026 to 7 March 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €49 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
