Mariborsko Pohorje is the largest ski resort in Slovenia and starts right on the edge of Maribor, on the main ridge of the Pohorje mountains. The slopes are not high (328–1,327 m) but are meticulously groomed, advanced skiers can take on the FIS slalom run, and several evenings a week one of Europe's longer night-skiing slopes opens. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 4 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €46 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
