Kranjska Gora in Gorenjska, Slovenia, has hosted Ski World Cup races for decades. About half of its slopes (20 km in total) are challenging and a large share is covered with artificial snow; the area stretches along Vitranc to Podkoren and Planica, and its closeness to the Wurzen Pass and the Carinthian border draws many Austrians. Night skiing is available. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 5 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €49 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
