Obergurgl Hochgurgl is a big area in the Ötztal valley (112 km of slopes) and one of the most snow-sure in the Alps – you can ski here from mid-November to early May, with runs reaching 3,030 m. Skiresort.com praises its slope offering, lifts and lack of queues; it works well for beginners and freeriders, and night skiing runs in the evening in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 19 November 2026 to 18 April 2027 (skiresort.com, as of 22 October 2026).
