Kötschach Mauthen

Kötschach Mauthen (Vorhegg) is a small resort in Carinthia, at the transition between the Gailtal and Lesachtal valleys. It has only 6 km of slopes, but it is known for sometimes getting plenty of snow, and the relaxed runs at Vorhegg suit a day out with the whole family. Besides skiing there are winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country trails. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 24 December 2026 to 28 February 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €40 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
