Gitschberg-Jochtal

Gitschberg-Jochtal is the largest ski arena in the Eisacktal in South Tyrol (55 km of slopes) since the 8-seater cable cars Gaisjoch and Schilling were built. The villages of Vals and Meransen are linked by slopes, and in Vals you can ski right up to your accommodation, so it suits families and beginners well, while advanced skiers and freeriders have plenty to do too. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 4 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €73 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
