Bormio

Bormio is in the Alta Valtellina in Lombardy, on the edge of the Stelvio National Park, and is known for hosting the 1985 and 2005 World Championships and downhill races on the Pista Stelvio (3,230 m long). The vertical drop is about 1,800 m, and there are beginner areas, a snow park and night skiing, while advanced skiers and freeriders have plenty to do too (50 km of slopes). The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 4 December 2026 to 11 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €60 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
