La Grave

La Grave – La Meije is a renowned freeride area in the Hautes-Alpes in France: just 3 km of marked slopes and 19 km of ski routes, with lifts that go above 3,500 m (up to 3,534 m). From the top there are only off-piste routes through the couloirs below La Meije, so this is expert-only terrain, ideally with a local guide, while the Girose glacier has a drag lift and marked runs. An adult day pass in main season costs €62 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026); the season usually runs from mid-December to late April.
