Chamonix

Chamonix – in this entry the Brévent/Flégère area – faces Mont Blanc on the sunny side of the valley, and its two sections are linked by a cable car. Most of the 56 km of slopes lie above the tree line, so it is high-alpine terrain with plenty of options for freeriders; the valley runs are difficult, but there is a beginner area at Plan Praz and easy slopes higher up. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 28 November 2026 to 18 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €74 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
