Chamrousse is in Isère, about 15 km as the crow flies from central Grenoble, and hosted the alpine events of the 1968 Winter Olympics. Its 90 km of slopes of all levels run up to the Croix de Chamrousse (2,250 m), mostly below the tree line, and almost all are reached by chairlifts or gondolas, with views over the Isère valley. Night skiing is available too. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 28 November 2026 to 11 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €43.50 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
