Métabief

Métabief is in the French Jura (Doubs department) and covers the slopes of Morond (1,420 m) and Mont d'Or (1,463 m). It has 26 km of slopes and 12 lifts, all below the tree line, so think relaxed recreational skiing; besides the pistes there are snowshoe trails, tobogganing and other activities. The season usually runs from mid-December to mid-March, and an adult day pass in main season costs €33.90 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
