Châtel

Châtel is one of the French villages in the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest ski areas in the world (580 km of slopes), which links twelve sub-areas on both sides of the French–Swiss border. The area includes Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets on the French side and Champéry and Morgins on the Swiss side, and it offers snow parks, beginner and children's areas and freeride terrain. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 28 November 2026 to 18 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €72 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
