La Clusaz/Manigod in Haute-Savoie, near Annecy and Geneva, links two villages with a traditional, cosy Alpine feel and has 125 km of slopes, reached mainly by chairlifts and gondolas. It scored 3.8 stars (very good) in the test. Besides skiing there are cross-country trails, snowshoe and winter hiking paths, and night skiing in Manigod. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 28 November 2026 to 25 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €54.50 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
