Le Grand Bornand lies in the Bornes Aravis area of Haute-Savoie, near Annecy, with slopes spread mainly over Mont Lachat, mostly on open alpine meadows rather than in forest. It is a resort for relaxed skiing on 90 km of slopes, also known for its cross-country and biathlon facilities, plus toboggan runs and snowshoe trails; there is night skiing at Le Chinaillon. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 12 December 2026 to 11 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €52 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
