Samoëns is one of the villages of Le Grand Massif in Haute-Savoie, a 265 km area linking Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon, Samoëns and Sixt. From Grandes Platières the Piste des Cascades starts, a 14 km run with around 1,700 m of vertical down to Sixt, with a ski bus to bring you back. It suits beginners, advanced skiers and freeriders, and in the Flaine sector the slopes rise above the tree line. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 28 November 2026 to 18 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €61 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
