Tignes

Tignes and Val d’Isère together form one of the largest ski areas in France (300 km of slopes) at the head of the Isère valley in Savoie, formerly known as Espace Killy. Part of the terrain lies on glaciers, and the Grande Motte glacier draws skiers even in summer. Skiresort.com lists strengths for beginners, families and advanced skiers, the area is considered a freeride paradise, and there is a snow park. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 28 November 2026 to 2 May 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €75 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
