Val d'Isère

Val d’Isère and Tignes together form one of the largest ski areas in France (300 km of slopes) at the head of the Isère valley in Savoie. Val d’Isère hosted the men’s alpine events of the 1992 Albertville Olympics, and the area has also staged World Championships and is a regular World Cup venue. Skiresort.com lists strengths for beginners, families and advanced skiers, and it is also considered a freeride paradise. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 28 November 2026 to 2 May 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €75 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
