Vars

Vars in the Hautes-Alpes forms the La Forêt Blanche ski area (185 km of slopes) together with Risoul, with runs winding through larch forest and higher up through alpine terrain, with views of the Écrins massif, the Ubaye Valley and the Queyras park. There are several snowparks and kids' areas, and in the evening you can ski at Vars les Claux (Ski Nocturne Écrins). The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 5 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs €58 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
