Arolla is in the Val d'Hérens in Valais, on the famous Haute Route (26.7 km of slopes). At altitudes from about 2,000 m to just under 3,000 m the snow stays good all winter, and the village is also a starting point for many ski tours and has a good cross-country network. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 21 November 2026 to 18 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs CHF 50 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
