Rigi

Rigi is a sunny mountain massif in Central Switzerland between Lake Lucerne, Lake Zug and Lake Lauerz, on the border of the cantons of Lucerne and Schwyz. It is a popular excursion both winter and summer – you go up by cable car or cog railway, and on foggy days the view of the Alpine panorama is especially striking. As a ski area it is small (9 km of slopes), with winter hiking trails, toboggan runs, an airboard piste and a panoramic cross-country trail alongside. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 12 December 2026 to 7 March 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs CHF 78 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
