Stoos

Stoos is a ski area above Lake Lucerne in the canton of Schwyz, with a car-free village of the same name. The runs (35 km) lead between Klingenstock and Fronalpstock with views of the lake and the Mythen, and most of them are fairly challenging, so it suits more confident skiers – though the youngest have two free magic carpets in Fröneli’s Winterland. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 21 November 2026 to 4 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs CHF 56 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
