Crans Montana

Crans Montana sits on a sunny plateau above the Rhône valley in the French-speaking part of Valais (140 km of slopes). The highest point lies just below the summit of Plaine Morte (2,927 m), and one way up to the resort is the funicular from Sierre. Skiresort.com rates the area for families and freeriders, and there is a snow park; the resort has plenty of restaurants and bars, plus night skiing. The planned 2026/2027 season runs from 28 November 2026 to 4 April 2027, and an adult day pass in main season costs CHF 94 (prices from skiresort.com as of 22 October 2026).
